Where to Donate Clothes (and Other Stuff) in Saigon

Are you moving or looking to donate goods in Ho Chi Minh city?

I would recommend the following organizations:

Shop of Hope

Address: 76 Đường D5, Phường 25, Bình Thạnh, Hồ Chí Minh

Website: http://www.tinyheartsofhope.org/

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/shopofhope/

A 3-story shop housing used household items, clothes and books. I picked up a few picture frames and science fiction novels. They also showcase newly donated items on their Facebook page.

From their website:

“We are a second hand shop dedicated to helping poor and disadvantaged people throughout Vietnam. We offer training and jobs to people in need.

We accept any kind of donations and distribute them to orphanages and poor people throughout Vietnam. We sell the rest of the items not given away to give jobs to those who are handicapped or disadvantaged.

We use the profits from sells to bring hope to poor people in the form of education, giving medical care, doing community projects, and giving a better standard of living.”

Your Local Pagoda

Check to see if your local pagodas takes donations. Often times these are given to orphans living at the temple.

If you’re in District 2, you can donate to the Dieu Giac Pagoda at 177 Đường Trần Não, Khu phố 3, Quận 2, Hồ Chí Minh. I donated clothes and sports equipment there last year.

This guide will forever be a work in progress, so please let me know your suggestions, resources and additions in the comments below. I will keep this guide as up to date as possible!
